Separating, Leaving, Sadness, Hope. Though what really got my attention was what no one has seemed to mention yet. What is it that Nozomi is holding in her hand? And Nozomi's also the one who's leaving. Her back is to the train as if she had just been stopped and turned around. The object is a going away present. The important part is that it's symbolic of a memory, a gift. The two are separating, saying goodbye, probably for good from the looks of it. the way the Eli is looking at Nozomi is the way someone looks at someone else whom they may never see again. Art imitating life.
